Toys for Tots and The Allstate Foundation Kick-off Third Annual Donation Drive Throughout the Northeast

The Allstate Foundation to give $40,000 grant to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in honor of Pennsylvania and New England Allstate agency owners’ volunteerism

MALVERN, Penn., Oct. 21, 2019 – From now until Friday, December 6, more than 150 Allstate agency owners throughout the Northeast are partnering with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys for local children. This marks the third year in a row that select Allstate agency owners’ offices in Pennsylvania and New England will serve as donation drop-off sites during Toys for Tots’ holiday campaign. In honor of the participating Allstate agency owners’ volunteerism, Toys for Tots will receive a $40,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grant to support even more children this holiday season.

Community members are encouraged to stop by participating agency owners’ offices to support Toys for Tots’ local holiday campaigns. To find your local participating Allstate agency, please click on your respective state:

Since 2017, The Allstate Foundation and Allstate agency owners have proudly partnered with the Toys for Tots Foundation, collecting thousands of donations for children and giving over $150,000 in Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grants to the organization.

“For many Allstate agency owners in Pennsylvania and New England, holding a Toys for Tots donation drive in their agencies has become a well-loved tradition,” said Gene Weller, Allstate agency owner for 35 years and State College, PA Toys for Tots campaign coordinator for 33 years. “Over the last three years, hundreds of agencies have encouraged their communities to support local families, collecting thousands of donations. Our goal is to make each donation drive bigger and better than the year prior and, with the public’s support, I know that’s possible.”

Allstate and Toys for Tots have worked closely since May to organize this donation drive across seven states. Together, they are rallying the public to give to families in need.

“We are very pleased to work with Allstate for the third year in a row,” said retired Marine Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “The community service goals of Allstate agencies certainly align with those the Marine Corps has promoted for over 72 years through our Toys for Tots Program.” Silvester concluded, “With the generous support of The Allstate Foundation, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of thousands of less fortunate children who otherwise might be forgotten.”
