Since 2017, The Allstate Foundation and Allstate agency owners have proudly partnered with the Toys for Tots Foundation, collecting thousands of donations for children and giving over $150,000 in Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grants to the organization.
“For many Allstate agency owners in Pennsylvania and New England, holding a Toys for Tots donation drive in their agencies has become a well-loved tradition,” said Gene Weller, Allstate agency owner for 35 years and State College, PA Toys for Tots campaign coordinator for 33 years. “Over the last three years, hundreds of agencies have encouraged their communities to support local families, collecting thousands of donations. Our goal is to make each donation drive bigger and better than the year prior and, with the public’s support, I know that’s possible.”
Allstate and Toys for Tots have worked closely since May to organize this donation drive across seven states. Together, they are rallying the public to give to families in need.
“We are very pleased to work with Allstate for the third year in a row,” said retired Marine Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “The community service goals of Allstate agencies certainly align with those the Marine Corps has promoted for over 72 years through our Toys for Tots Program.” Silvester concluded, “With the generous support of The Allstate Foundation, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of thousands of less fortunate children who otherwise might be forgotten.”
