Twitter recruitment experience eases application process

Allstate Insurance agency owners across Texas are planning to hire at least 150 licensed sales professionals by the end of the year with the help of Twitter, the online social media tool.

Candidates can learn about licensed sales professional positions by messaging recruiters via Twitter @TXAgents. To apply, candidates can avoid the hassle of loading their resumes to career websites by emailing their resume to a recruitment team member at txrecruiting@allstate.com, call (877) 711-1015 to speak with a recruiter or call their local Allstate agency owner.

Licensed sales professionals play a pivotal role in driving business for Allstate agencies by working side by side with agency owners to educate and assist customers with their insurance needs. That's why Allstate is encouraging its more than 900 agency owners in Texas to continue to build their agencies by hiring top notch staff.

Interested candidates should have exceptional selling and customer service skills, a high school diploma and the ability to obtain or begin the process of obtaining a Property and Casualty Insurance license at the time of hiring.

"Now talented, motivated people can learn what it's like to become a Licensed Sales Producer and get a head start in a recession-proof industry in an easy, convenient way through Twitter," said Mark Jameson, an Allstate agent in the Southlake area. "We want to answer interested candidates' questions and not let the licensing process intimidate them."

Candidates are interviewed and hired by Allstate exclusive agents who are independent contractors. Although licensed sales professionals represent Allstate, they are employees of the exclusive agent and not employed by Allstate Insurance Company.

Allstate is continuing its search for exclusive agents to own and operate their own agencies and is on pace to open more than 100 agencies in Texas by the end of the year.

Available licensed sales positions are available throughout the following cities/areas:

Abilene

Houston

Amarillo

Lubbock

Austin

McAllen/Harlingen/Brownsville

Beaumont

Midland/Odessa

Corpus Christi

San Antonio

Dallas/Fort Worth
