What is RSS? RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) feeds are content feeds from web sites that contain press release headlines and images that link back to AllstateNewsroom.com.
What are the benefits of using RSS? RSS is an easy way for you to be alerted when content that interests you appears on the Allstate Insurance Digital Newsroom website. Instead of visiting the web site to browse for new articles and images, RSS automatically tells you when something new is posted online.
What do I need to use RSS? To start using RSS, you need either special software that displays RSS content feeds or a web browser that supports RSS. There are many different news readers available, many of which are free of charge. Most are available as desktop software that you download and install on your computer and a few are available as plugins to the Windows version of Internet Explorer. Both Macintosh and Windows users can download Firefox, a web browser that supports RSS or simply Google "free RSS reader" and find the software title of your choice.
