Executive Vice President, Product Operations
Allstate Insurance Company

Steven P. Sorenson is executive vice president, product operations for the Allstate Insurance Company, and a member of Allstate's senior leadership team. He is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in pricing and also drives Allstate's strategy for product management, underwriting, research and development.

Since joining Allstate in 2000, Sorenson has held key leadership roles within Allstate's product and distribution organizations. He served as a product vice president with product management responsibilities for three of the company's 14 regional operations. In 2002, he was given responsibility for co-leading the entire field operation. At that time, he also served as chairman of Allstate Floridian, chairman of Allstate New Jersey and was a board member of Allstate Bank.

In 2007, Sorenson was promoted to senior vice president, protection distribution, where he was responsible for Allstate's multi-access distribution platform of exclusive agencies, independent agencies and direct. He was appointed to his current role in 2008.

Before joining Allstate, Sorenson was a general manager at Progressive Insurance Company with responsibility for several Midwestern states. Prior to that, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, working in the Chicago, Houston and London offices.

Sorenson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an A.B. degree in economics from Harvard College. Sorenson serves on the board of the Foglia YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.
